x2 amp install

I am in the process of building a fiberglass sub enclosure and installing an amp. I want to mount the amp under the stock JL that came with the boat. The JL amp seems to be driled into the fiberglass but I know thats definately not a good idea. Anyways here are some pics, give me some ideas on how to drill it to the wall.

MC glasses in a mounting board for amp mounting. If you feel around the edges of where your current amp is mounted, you will be able to find the limits of the factory installed board. If you want more area than what they provided, then peel back the carpet and epoxy or glass in a new board.

Why can't you mount it directly to the wall?

Thats what I was hoping for but I read that you should never mount it onto fiberglass, but I'm hearing that my boat has a board already put in so it should be perfect

wonder why you can mount it t fiberglass? In this case, the fiberglass is thick and the carpet is also there. I have never had any problems with mine. I went all aftermarket, so i dont have that black bar your factory amp is mounted to.
