Why are they on wakeboards if snowboards, skateboards and basically all other extreme sports equipment don'y need them? They always kill the graphic for me.

I can't remember what company it is, but some of them are pretty funny if you read them. One of them said something to the extent, Don't do anything stupid on this board, I have to put this warning on the board and ruin my nice graphic designs because of idiots that use them incorrectly. The wording was similar at least. I think that they should be peel off.

Do you buy a board for its graphics or the way it rides?

Personally Im buying the ugliest board that rides the way I like it over a hot looking board that I like, but less.

For those who propose putting a sticker over it...

Do you ever lend your board out to anyone that you don't know implicitly? I certainly do, in fact 2 people used my board yesterday when I was out with a friend, I had only met them a few hrs beforehand. Supposing they use your board, hurt themselves and then say that they were unaware of the risks as you had covered the warning labels over. Along comes their lawyer waving a lawsuit and whad'ya know, all of a sudden the fun goes out of wakeboarding for you.

Just a thought.

My main question was really why do snowboards and skateboards not have warning labels if wakeboards do?

you can have them sign a release form and you can still be liable. Its lame but unfortunately thats the way things are these days. As Adam Corolla says, certain places need to be carpet bombed. Some nice folks may die but its for the greater good...

No, I was out with a friend on his boat and there were a few of his friends on there who didn't have boards. So they asked if they could use mine and I said yes. I don't think I'm the first person to ever do this.

(slightly off topic) All warning stickers on my boat were removed right away. I'm very aware that the exhaust gas is poisonous and that the propeller can cause serious injury.

Peter,I guess you are right.

Those people that will sue will sue even if the warning stickers are not covered....

Skateboards have them as well, but its just a sticker on the top of the board that you can remove, or it gets covered by the griptape when you grip the board.
Anyone can sue anyone for anything if they want to, dosent mean they will win the lawsuit.
