Anyone ride this set? I just won them on Ebay for radiculously cheap, but I've never even gotten up on a wakeboard! How hard do you think it will be to learn on the Ibex?? I know it's not exactly a beginner's board.

err the ibex is pretty crazy. once you start trying to jump the wake it may pop you in all sorts of directions.. you will be able to learn how to wakeboard on it though. good luck, its a great lifestyle!

I disagree... I think the Ibex is very easy to ride. You can ride it as aggressive, or easy, as you like... I've never experienced any crazy uncontrollable pop (like the old Parks boards).

I ride that combination, and have taught several of my friends to ride using my set-up. No one has complained... All of them have said they loved how easy the board was to ride.

That is a great setup. It is the first pro setup I rode. Few weeks later I bought the same board but with Relik bindings.

We sold one to a guy and a week later one of his friends came in and said it was the best board he had ever rode and bought one.

Chow, how does the Reliks compare to the Cells?

I just picked up that set up to demo....It has the 07 cells. I will tell you what I think after Sunday. I hope I like it because it seems like a good deal.....$460.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me... I guess it'll depend on what you think of the combination on the water.

Let us know what happens... I'd be willing to bet that you will really like that set-up.

I think the 139 was just a tad to small for me. I ride a 06' Trancend 142. I loved the response of the Ibex It also has allot of speed. I was still able to get more air w/ my old setup. I think this week I am going to demo the One 142. I am 5'10" 185lb. I think the Ibex 144 is a little big. I am sure I could get use to the 139 but I was not sold. I did like the cell bindings. I ride 06' Shanes and love them also. but the Cell's are lighter with good support. I will more than likely keep the cells If I like the One. If not I may go with another CWB.
