THe lake is deep so the risk of running aground is greatly reduced, in addition I think the hazards are marking pretty well. The lake is down quite a bit, probably 50 feet or so. I am not looking forward to the conditions later this summer, due to the water level continuing to drop. You have heard correctly, Don Pedro is a nice lake.

Danny,
I was there from the 9th to 13th (Mon.- Fri.)
and it was very nice until midday Friday. It was like a zoo at the ramps after 12 noon on Friday.

I was there 13th - 15th it wasnt as crowded as normal out of Moccasin Pt. Half the sights were empty. We didn't go down towards the other end of the lake though. It is low for this time of year and trees are sticking out near the rivers feed.

I was just there and the water level is so so low. It was still a zoo. Gas was $6.08 a gallon on the lake. I pulled my boat out every day to fill up at the local station. Not as many boaters as last year at this time, but still a lot drunk idiots at the loading dock (Flemming). I have never seen it this low at this time of the year.

Is the Blue Oaks ramp open? We are camping at Blue Oaks for the 4th of July holiday, and I am hoping that we don't have to trailer to Fleming Meadows to launch.

Was told when we were there last Blue Oaks would be open till probably the end of July then they will close the ramp. By the end of summer Flemming meadows will be down to a two lane ramp and Mocosin will be a dirt ramp. That sucks I may bail on my August trips if its a two lane ramp. I'll never get the boat in the water.
