This not only works now it's almost miraculous. The following pano was made with 6 portrait images shot handheld on a 20D. Look at the difference between CS2 (top) and CS3 (bottom)

nice...evidently they've added some pretty damn useful stuff. Can't wait till the full blown version.

wow! I'm impressed.

Don't forget when you are shooting a series for a panorama, go full manual. Shutter, Fstop, White Balance... also for sequence shots too. I find that doing this makes the merging for a panorama a lot easier.

Here is a REAL OLD panorama shot I did back in 2000. It's on an Olympus 2MP camera LOL so don't be too hard on me! :-P

The beauty of this new version is you don't need to go full manual (even though you still should) as it's intelligently masking and blending the layers. I did tweak the levels on the CS3 shot which wouldn't have been possible on the CS2 without accentuating the the differences that are so obvious. It also has some cool ways of dealing with perspective changes in the individual shots as it aligns them.

If you own CS2 there's no reason to not give this new version a try it seems very stable to me.
