I am looking at a 1998 Ski Centurion in good condition and they are asking 17K. Does this sound about right?

I assume a Sport Bowrider? I am in Cali and that seems a little high out here unless it is in perfect condition with some extras?

if you are going to spend 17k, i'd go for soemthing more like this.. it's in WA. I had a 92 sport nautique and it ran like a champ, had a decent wake with some people ballast and was an all around great first boat for me.

I actually like the look of that tower, and would definitely recommend a Nauty over a Centurion...but would not go with the closed bow...

Thanks for the replies!

I think 17K is too much as well. I am now looking at a new boat. I have been doing some research and Moomba seems to be a decent deal. Your thoughts...

When I was test driving I found that the seats on the Moomba would bottom out on chop. That didn't happen on the Supra or most of the others. My wife commented on how nice they felt when we got in the boat and then commented on how bad they were when running.
Everyone looks for different things. Drive one and see if you like it. They have a nice wake and are not as expensive as some.

I have an 07 LSV and I love it. It is a great boat, and much easier to afford. The wake is really nice as well. You can't go wrong with just about any new boat though, so test drive them, and find the best deal for YOU, not based on our opinions.

Ok, I think I will go down to dealer this weekend and see what they are like. What about Tige?

Todd,

I have had a lot of fun with my Tige, we bought a used 2004 Switch V (basically the stripped down 20V), and have had no real problems. One great thing about Tige is how well they are suited for passengers...after riding in a natique, I was suprised at how narrow and cramped it felt.

However, the wake would definitely be second to the naut. Also, if you are looking for 17K boats, you would likely be looking at an i-drive Tige, which I cannot recommend fully after riding behind one (the wake felt way small to me...). Solid boat though, taps is great!

25 - 30 puts you in SAN, older xstar/205, price range... like this:

Sweet! My only problem is I can not go larger then 20.5 MAX 21 due to garage space. That would give me 2 inches of room. Also, I have picked up skiing, so I need a hybrid boat.
