No "best place". If it's not a busy weekend or during the week, launch at Site Six on the island. It's free. Otherwise, we launch at Windsor Beach or the Marina near the Nautical Hotel/Resort.

Yeah it depends on if you are staying at Havasu City or the other end of the lake. We launch at Take Off Point which is right next to the dam, you can also launch at Cat Tail Cove, its halfway between Havasu City and the dam.

Dont plan on riiding unless your getting on the water with the sun. After 9am on the weekends its like the ocean.

Crazyhorse campsite and site 6 ramp are only a few minutes apart. The Nautical is a "resort" hotel with its own low budget launch ramp. Windsor ramp is very nice, but they charge (I think its $10).

Camping at Havisu can be miserable during mid summer unless you have an RV. Temps can stay well above 100 all night and $60 for a A/C room is well worth the money. As far as boarding, early bird gets the worm. It gets blown out fast and is un-ridable the rest of the day.

Still a fun place. Hit up the channel, sandbar and coppercanyon during the weekend.

Havasu springs is the best place to stay and launch if you want to wakeboard. You can get some decent water. You can also pay for a slip and leave it in over night... I have left my boat in overnight a few times and have not had any issues. We will usually take a boat ride up to the channel one day to have some fun. I actually just got back a few days ago.

x2 Ed^

Otherwise consider a day on the River just north of Topoc. For boarding, it's worth the 30 minute drive north from town.

But... it gets a little crowded for wakeboarding mid-days on summer weekends.
