I just got laid off early this week and my schedule has opened up (obviously) I wasn't planning on going to brostock this weekend but now it looks like I probably can. But I have a few q's for people that have been before.

Is there access to it from the Wahweap marina, or do you need to take a boat out to it.

Also, where is the best place to stay. Since its last minute (and now that I don't have a job) I'll need to find somewhere cheap to stay or even camp. Does anyone have any ideas? Or if you have extra room at a campground, hotel, houseboat etc... let me know. I'll try and take care of you (money wise)

Any other tips for a good brostock. Thanks for the info in advance.

Sorry to hear that Cody! I hope you can hook up with someone to go to Powell.

Thanks ryan, yea it was pretty sudden and I totally wasn't expecting it. But I guess I'll try and make the best of it with a trip to powell (hopefully)

Major bummer but bro stock sounds like a great way to take your mind off it for a few days :-)

Man Cody. I am sorry to hear about the job situation.

Not sure they will let you ride with that CWB plat. You might be able to trade it for an old 2009 Watson or something. Its worth a try. Have fun.

there is a way to drive to it (4 wheel drive recomended, especially for the very last stretch) here is ALL the info you need to drive there

BUT, I do recommend thumbing a boat ride across instead. I expect that Aramark, Lake Powell Resort at Wahweap will be shuttling people across to bro stock every couple of hours like last year but i can't say for sure or if they would be kool with transporting a bunch of gear.

Thanks Jeremy, I appreciate the link. It seems like this needed a little planning up front. I guess it may not happen this year but hopefully next year when I have time to plan it out a little better. I guess I'll have to take my mind off it some other way

Not the best news Cody, hope the best for you and your family. I know there is a few from www.wakeutah.com that are driving down early friday. Hit up James or Dewey with wakeutah.com and see if they have room, tell them I sent ya. They might be full being this late though. Good Luck!

Damn Cody, sorry to hear the bad news! Especially since I know this wasn't just a job, but what you love to do. Best of luck making it down to Powell, that would probably be a great stress reliever right now.

Heck you can always come back to SLC (you have to bring the sun) and we can ride the spot!
