Greetings,

Just wondering what I should look for when buying a bimini top for a '79 Mastercraft Skier and/or where to buy one online. I tried posting on TMC Owners, but the site doesn't appear to be letting me login tonight.

Anyway,

1. What are the pros/cons of the various fabrics? ie. sharkskin, vinyl, sunbrella, etc

2. Mounting hardware
Plastic? Stainless? Should I get a quick release type of system or is flip fwd / aft sufficient? If quick release, what type?

3. Size
What is a good size and height? I'm leaning towards 5' or 6' long, beam of the boat wide and approx 48" high. What are your thoughts on lower and/or higher bimini tops?

Any info and/or pics will be appreciated.

I am pretty sure the reply you'd get on TMC is that Johnson Bimini is a great option for a deck mounted bimini for an MC.
