Clearwater area wake?

My family is going to be in Tampa for a couple days on a vacation next week, and I was wondering if there was anywhere on the beach or near area that I could get some riding done? I have read up on McCormick's, it's an hour away from where we are staying, and the fam doesn't really want to go that far when only two of us riding. Boat rentals, Jet ski maybe, or the like?

You can ride in the intercoastal waters over there. Im pretty familiar with the area, plenty of jetski rentals, not much of boats though (there are but crappy boats). McCormicks is really ur option, have the cable lakes of course but also have a super air nautique 210 you can ride behind. Your family can bring some food out and chill to watch you guys ride or even ride in the boat if you rent that out. Much better conditions & pricing vs renting a boat at the beach.

Or they can drop you off and they can go shopping or the movies in brandon/tampa area.
