Had a great weekend on the river again. Beautiful weather and nice water at least in the morning.

Unfortunately on his second run, one of the guys cased the wake and caught the toeside edge on a wake to wake jump. I'm the only one that saw him go down and good cripes it looked bad. He came up though and looked ok. Well, all except for a blown ear drum! It was bleeding within about 2 hours. Doctor says it was torn 3/4 of the way and possibly would require surgery.

This is the second guy to blow an ear drum in 3 weeks! Looks like it hurts like hell for a bit. So now I need a name for my boat. :-) Ear Crusher? Silencer? What u say?

:-)

I have a friend that calls our boat "the punisher" we have had blown knee, broken ribs & popped kidney plus the usual day to day beatings wakeboarding dishes up.

I also had a nasty accident bursting an ear drum, put me out the game for 2 months. It was attempting a signature trick of mine known as the porpoise.

Blew a huge hole in it, fortunately no surgery despite getting an infection.

Heres a video
