Enough already with the trailer pics. This guy has put the same thing on PlanetNautique. I know more about this trailer than I do about some boats.
How about even just a pic of the Build-a-Boat thing. Jeesh. All we have is this trailer.

Haha i noticed it too. But damn that trailer is sexy. Lets hope ge doesnt just use his trailer once or twice a yr to winterize the boat

If had pics of the boat I'd certainly post them. Trust me, I want to see the boat and/or boat build just as bad as anyone else.

I just got word today that we'll have one here, up from Georgia, next Friday for our MN Spring Ride...hopefully I'm not jinxing it. I believe the color scheme is even pretty close to what mine is.

Here is a pic of a the one that we will have here for our event this week. It's not mine, but mine is the exact same color.

Here are some pics of the G23 that we had at the MN Spring Ride this weekend. I got to spend a lot of time in the boat. Needless to say, I'm super happy I purchased it. I've been pretty nervous about buying a boat before trying it out. This thing is friggin' huge! The guy standing in the one pic is about 5'9", I believe. The Red Bull truck is MASSIVE, as well....it's an mtx army vehicle. You can get a feel for how big the Red Bull truck is by comparing its tires to the one on the trailer.

My truck did really well towing it, too. I was a bit nervous, but the 6.2L does the job pretty well.

I like it. The cooler in the belly is a cool feature. Never been a fan of how Nautique does interior speakers. I just remember the one SAN i was in where the speakers were mounted behind the interior and covered with mesh....speakers in the G23 looks like the have funky grills? Maybe they will grow on me. I think switching up the tower speakers would be nice, otherwise that boat is KICKASS! I like it. Looks huge. Lots of room for ballast and lots of freeboard

we had 10 adults in this thing all weekend, and it was pretty comfortable. 3 people can fit in the bow (2 guys that are about 5'11 and 200 lbs each, plus a girl). every one who rode it was pretty amazed at the wake.

look how small it makes that 4 door chevy look, insanely huge boat. I wonder realistically how many people on this site or in general could actually handle the wake though?

I was at MN Spring Ride this weekend, spent some time in and around the G23 with Jay and Co. and I guess the word I would use to desribe it is huge.. The boat, the wake, the interior.. Everything is huge.. Rub rail is at my forehead on the trailer.. Wake was ridiculous.. Looked to be as expected..

In my opinion - the only thing better than having a G23 is having a homie with a G23.. Can't wait to get out on it Jay.. Congrats on your purchase and thanks x 1,000,000 for organizing another Spring Ride.. Our crew had a fantastic weekend. Sunburns and hangovers all around.

What you said is essentially what $107k gets you... Base 343 motor with no frills.

The boat in those pictures is not $107k.

I really like almost everything about it. I really wish they'd make a 21 foot version in the 70ish range (I know I'm dreaming).

One thing I noticed though....does that seem like a really bad place to put the batteries? Looks like the ballast pumps are right there as well as the center plug. Its great that they are pretty accessible, but looks like there is potential for some water in that area as well. Maybe I'm not seeing it right.
Old     (ironj32)      Join Date: Jan 2007       06-11-2012, 9:42 AM Reply
the batteries are about 1.5 feet off of the floor. if water gets that deep in the bilge, then there are much bigger problems.

Natique makes a 21' wakeboarding boat for in the 70's when stripped down.

Super Air Natique 210.

Why would anyone even mention a $125k boat and talk about how awesome it would be if it was $50k less? Go buy an MB. ;-)

The G23 is insane. Jay will be stoke meter 1million when it arrives.

Whats funny is that I noticed is that the pumps are mounted upside down so if the housing leaks it leaks into the electrical portion of the ballast puppy.

I do like the 210. I think I'd like a G21 a little better though.

(begin sarcasm) Does MB really make a 21 foot boat for 70ish? Are they decent? Do they throw a decent wake? Being on WW almost every day, you'd think I'd have heard about them once or twice if they were any good (end sarcasm)

It definitely was the best I've ever experienced, and all of the other contestants that rode in the non-dub contest expressed the same opinion.

I know I've already purchased one, and the wake was one thing that I've been concerned about, as I reallllly loved the 230 wake, but I'll be perfectly honest and say that it's definitely the biggest I've hit. I've ridden many a boats, all slammed. One of the contestants this weekend is an owner of the dealership of one of the other big 3 boat companies...he came straight out and admitted that this wake better than anything else out there.

As we all know, "best wake" is all subjective and personal opinions, so I'm sure there are people who'd disagree.

I'd characterize the shape of the G23 wake as being a mixture of the XStar and the 230, but the size is much bigger than both of those. It's got a nice long transition, with an awesome lip at the top. It's clean on both the take off and landing side. It's definitely wider than the 230 too. I normally ride the 230 at 85/87 ft at 26.5 mph. I'm riding the G23 at 75 ft at 24.4 mph (will maybe take it out to 77 or 80 ft, once I get more acquainted with it though).

Jay -

I am thinking about trading in my 2007 236 for a new G23. None of the dealers in my area have recieved one yet so I have not had a chance to look at one in person. I am a bit concerned abou the hinges on the reversible stern seat. They look like the would get in the way of passengers sitting in the rear corners when the seat is not facing backwards. I am worried that the metal will get super hot and end up buring people when they sit down. They look pretty obtrusive in your last picture. Can you give my your thoughts on the hinges?

Thank you.

Whats a MB?

Ha, seriously though the G21 is coming. My guess is 100k when loaded, because a well equipped 210 sits at about 92k msrp.

Dont quote me but i remember being told they used stock ballast for all group except pro men, which if im not mistaken was 1000lbs more.

It was pretty crazy conditions that weekend with the wind too.

At MN Spring Ride, we were running stock ballast, plus about 8 people (varied from time to time...sometimes we had 9-10). It was super duper windy too, but the boat made the wake actually doable. It clears out the water a pretty good distance from the ramp of the wake. You seemed to get about 5 feet or more of smoothness before hitting the wake (I wasn't out there with a tape measurer, so I'm sure I'm off a few feet)....can see it in the first wakegames pick, I guess.

I'm working on chopping up the footage, and should have video to show in a few days.

The pumps don't look like they woudl affect or drip on the batteries at all. What am I missing that you guys are? I am not sure I like where the batteries are because they look like a slight PITA to get out and because if you wanted to add batteries you would have to put them in the observers area anyway but I wouldn't worry at all about water getting on them. We aren't talking AC high voltage here. A little water on the battery isn't going to hurt it. If you were doing a big system it would be cool to ditch the infloor igloo and throw 4 Golf Carts, 3 or 4 group 31's or an 8D in that locker for a house bank while running the 2 stock batteries in parallel as the starting battery. While I like the usage of space for that cooler it seems annoying to have to lift a hatch in the floor then get down on your knees to lift the cooler lid and grab soemthing out of it. I like it as a secondary cooler though If you had another igloo that you put in the cockpit and then swapped when the first one was empty. Because with a huge boat like that that will hold 14 people or so you obviously need at least 6 cases of beer. Maybe a soda or wattle bottle or something to although those types of drinks dont' need to be taking up valuable cooler space.

Yea, the wake is BIG. I never thought I'd like anything more than what I do a super slammed 230, but the G23 has changed that. Every rider that rode at MN Spring Ride seemed be really stoked over the wake...and we were running in shallow water (8-10'), and it was windy as heck. I cannot wait for the first butterish soul session behind it!
