air dryer with blower for storing

Has anyone used this product or something similar. Is it worth putting in my boat for the winter to keep it from getting the mildew smell?

I've got one and it works awesome. It doesn't have a blower in it or creat any spark. It will keep your interior mildew free.

Nevermind it's not the same one I have, mine doesn't have the fan, but still works great.

I have one and have been using it for years under my cover, and it works. My boat is stored outside and it keeps my interior mildew free.

maybe im retarded but how do you mount or place it? If the cover is on where do you put it? Do you place in the boat and then it just takes the moisture and and just blow out air? im confused lol

If you want the same thing without the fan, just go to Michaels or any floral shop and buy some desiccant it is used for drying flowers and is that little packed that comes with a new pair of shoes. You know the one that says do not eat. It absorbs moisture in the air just put some in some in a tray and put it under the cover of the boat. The best is to put some in a couple of small containers and place them around the boat i.e. in storage compartments and under seats. You will be amazed how well it works and no batteries

Brandon, I'm sure you need more than a couple packets that you find in clothes pockets for this to work :-)

I'm assuming Michaels or floral shops sell it by the pound or something?

Also, did I read on here once that someone used charcoal briquettes to do the same?

Thanks for posting about this product. I think it is a great idea and just talked to the company that makes them. It has a small heating element and a fan, together drawing only 90 watts. They have no distributor in my area and I can buy them direct to offer for in my shops. Not exactly an exciting product to sell but if a boat owner can uncover the boat in the spring and not find nasty things growing inside they will appreciate it. Hey, Wakeworld is useful for more than just entertaining boat wars!

Im confused why if one has the cover on over winter and it is water tight. The boat was dry before covering, why would there be enough moisture that would cause any problems??
