Here is our little Yorkie "Oscar", He loves riding on the boat, except for when he jumps on the side too fast and falls in.

Lucky T, She's been pretty good about staying near me, but then again she's still young. A few times at the river she has not wanted to listen and stands there and looks at me but won't come. I think she thinks its a fun game!! haha My parents beagle was the worst ever, he would get on a scent and was gone. I think it just depends on the dog.

Shane, You take your bully out on the boat? I'm getting a male in about a week but am afraid of the heat. Maybe he will be able to come in the fall w/ his lifevest. www.bulldogs4sale.com Haven't decided if I'm taking male #1 or male #2 on the puppy page.

I've heard alot of 'snub-nose' type dogs can overheat fairly easily.

NAW - yeah. You have to watch 'em or they'll over heat pretty quickly. Peter, Yep....my parents have been breeding bulldogs for about 7 or 8 years now. I'm finally getting one of my own and you're right about the pick of the litter! Membership has it's privileges! Now there will be a new branch of Mountain Man Bulldogs in Boise!

I just met some people the other day with a bulldog out on their houseboat. it was the funniest thing i've ever seen, he had this life vest that he could barley fit in, and when he got hot, they would dip him in. it was soooo cute!

ROTFLMAO that pic keeps coming back up at the funniest times Levi, are you going to offer stud services? Heheh Are you going to get a female for breeding too? For many dogs shaving them in the summer helps big time with the heat and also cuts shedding down. My Brittany gets shaved twice during the summer, and got shaved yesterday for our annual backpacking trip next week.

Peter, Yeah, most likely I'll stud him out. But I don't think I'll get a female anytime soon as litters of bulldogs are TONS of work and I'm not really set up for that. My parents have a fancy kennel for it and it's still a huge commitment.

It's a pic of Leo Laseki(sp?) That he posted to get some help on a tantrum. Everone said it looked like a golden retriever, because the quality of the pic was so bad. So I made one with an actual golden retriever!

Do the mastiff's swim when you go out? Any tears or rips in the seats from them? We are thinking about getting a lab and I just want to make sure I wont have any problems with my seats getting torn up.

NAW- He is a 3 year old English Mastiff and yes he does make great ballast. Face Planter- My mastiff loves the water his favorite toy is a boat bumper that we throw in the lake for him to fetch. He likes to play with rocks on the bottom of the lake and when he sticks his head under the water to pick one of them up he blows bubbles out of his nose. The boat has never had any tears due to the dog before and when we are out on the boat he just lays around drooling. (Message edited by bcoppinger on July 26, 2005)

We've been taking our Mini Aussie out since she was 4 months. Her favorite boat activities are anchoring in a canyon and finishing off the last few drops of warm beer from our bottles. Just have to make sure she gets plenty of water and adequate land potty breaks. Dogs don't seem cabable of the jump in, pee and grin method. She's very relaxed on the boat so the nails haven't been a problem. (maybe its the beer). Her favorite spot is under the bimini, shotgun.

We got a 15 month old yellow lab named Cheyenne. When my wife is riding, she is fairly calm, but as soon as i get in the water she goes nuts. She whines like crazy. If anyone falls, she gets nervous as well. No rips in seats but there is a lot of hair in the boat at the end of the day. She gets better everytime we take her out. A total water dog.
