They had trouble with the dam and the water level is only at 2 feet with exposed rocks.

While I agree that the name should be changed and am dealing with it, at this point I think about 7 people have been on that site since it went up. 4 of them are in this thread. Worrying about it isn't a big deal right now. I asked for it to be called Western Maryland - the other stuff was added by the admin after some conversation.

there is a pretty good chance i'll be moving back to virginia this summer (fredericksburg area). my brother owns a place on the private side of lake anna. which is where i'll probably keep my boat. do any of you guys ride there? what is the scene like, is it difficult to get good water? i rode there a few times about 4-5 years ago and the water was always great. does anyone know if you can build sliders out there?

Pretty much everyone who has chimed in here has ridden on the private side at least handful of times. I keep my boat on the public side (High Point Marina), but trailer it over in the spring & fall thanks to the continued kindness of Mr John M Hall (aka skyski1). Yes, I am sucking up.
Keep a ear to the ground for rides going down, which hopefully will start once this crappy weather moves on. Water temps are already cooperating:

haha bsw sure you can have it back. i dont think it's ever been worn. there were a couple of bigger guys i rode with that ended up getting their own vests.

dan- i think i rode with john hall once. if its the same guy im thinking it was a malibu, unweighted. i had a good time however the wake wasnt cooperating with me.

Yeah, blue & white LSV w/ a strange contraption hanging off one side of the tower (also know as a SkySki). I know last year his wedge broke off, and the wake was super mellow. He has since had it repaired & added some concrete in the back. Now its really nice, although I still prefer my wake (there's a shocker, someone who prefers the wake of their own boat).
