Help! I have been riding about two summers now and can jump just about w2w on HS but I don't get much height (maybe 4-5ft at best) and often land on top of the second wake even with a shortened rope. I am trying to edge progessively and stand tall at the wake. I do feel like a build a good amount of speed...maybe too much. PLease let me know if you have any tips!!! I ride a HL Premier 136 and am also wondering if it is a good board for my level. Thanks!

Maybe you need to slow your cut down a bit. Take a 5-8 foot cut away from the wake, and dirft in slowly building up speed. Don't break at the waist. When you come off the wake you want to makesure the handle is at hiplevel or below, and your entire body is over the whole board. I know people who still carve in like a mad man, somewhat stand tall but have their butts hanging way behind the board. they then absorb the pop with there knees, go wake to wake because they have the speed, but do not get the real pop.

Play with it a bit an you will get it, good luck.

a hard edge and lots of pop, then tugging a little on the rope usually did it for me.

remember that an edge is when you are on the edge of your board digging it into the water.

and then hold your edge until your in the air or you will lose all of your tension that you have built up.
hope this helps

the way i see it, is that you're almost playin tug of war with the boat.

i tried thinking about my edge, but didn't get it right, i then thought lean directly away from the line (ie pull against the rope), and did it straight away, if u do this, the only thing u can do is edge, otherwise u'd slip out.

other thing, the premier is good for anyone, beginner to advanced. beutiful board
