That search button is your friend. There is nothing I can say here that has not been said at least a dozen times.

My Pro 485's are coming up on their third season. I power them with a 400w/channel outdated/unavailable amplifier. Tons of amps will work priced from $150-$1500. Name your budget and you will get better advice.

Mike,

I have a set of 485's and I hae them running on a JL Audio 300/2 Each. Each one is pushing a pro 485. Since the 485's are 300 Watts RMS, the 300/2 is perfect for each of these. My best advice is to get a good quality amp, and ensure they are pushing at least 150 RMS to each speaker.

If yoy are looking for around 150 watts rms look into the alpine pdx 150x4 It powers 4 pro 80's no problem. It is a small amp that uses little power and stays cool. Cost around 400 bucks

You can actually get the PDX's on Ebay for about half their retail price.

I have the alpin PDX 4.150 on my threesome setup. I'm happy with it. the speakers can definately handle mroe power, but it's plenty loud enough with that.
