I currently ride behind a 2001 tire 2100v with 2k ballast. Its a nice boat but it needs to replaced soon.

What is the best price point boat with a similar wake or even steeper? The thing is, I am an average guy that doesn't have $20k to spend at once so I have to buy newer than 6 years to finance it. I've been looking at the A22 a lot and I really like the styling but what are the other boats out there?

As far as riding, we are intermediate riders, we like to ride with the boat slammed, and we need space so a 20 footer is a tad too small.

Also, for each boat, what is the best weight setup? We don't wake surf, so its a wakeboard only boat with the main priority being boarding. Options are second, but the necessities are auto ballast and cruise control.

Also, what are you all paying months for your boats.

Please leave out the $80k boats because those aren't realistic.

2011 A22 coming from a 98 2200v with 3200 ballast. Running 4k in the A22 with the small motor, 335, no wedge, cruise, bimini, boat cover and chi lax seats... thats it. got it under 50k brand new. Boat likes bow weight, 50-55% in the bow. Have 1900 in rear 1900 in bow, and 200 midship more towards the front. Wake is incredible, very similar snape to my Tige, just a little bit wider and a lot bigger and more fun. A lot less sensitive to side to side weight. all the weight is hidden on switches (except for 600 lbs of lead I keep all the time). Looking at my boat you would never know how much weight is in there, wether it only 600, or 4k, there is storage and no bags or sacks or lead on the floor. IF you can find a left over 2011 at a dealer, jump on it, it will most likely be nicely equipped and you can get it for killer deals.

as for payment, we have a big payment cuz we are paying for 6 years only.

Dang, on the A22 i was thinking the PNP with the 950 bow sac and 750 rears with wedge. But 4k sounds like way too much fun.

How is that Sanger interior? last boat I saw, it was super shallow with low seat backs like a direct drive.

If you are going to check out Axis and are looking to spend might as well check out MB 21 tomcat's or 21TWB. Ton's of room for a 21 foot boat. 1800 pounds of under the floor ballast in a minute or 2. Add a sac or some lead in the bow and you are money. Should be pretty similar price to the Axis, but much more plush.

I forgot to mention that the boat will be in salt water 90% of the time we use it. So I found the most simple interior last the longest. All the stitching usually starts coming apart. I am pretty anal about cleaning the boat but that kind of stuff is going to happen no matter what.

That's the setup I'd be rolling if I had an a20

If you're looking for a great wake, simple and tough interior, and a ton of room for a good price I would look at a Moomba Mojo, but that's just me

Dangers are pretty simple I thought you were talking bang for your buck with awesome wake?

The Sanger V210 probably have the best ratio possible when comparing total cost of ownership to quality of wake. Especially if you are looking for a steeper wake. Only real downfall is that the boat is kind of shallow and that there isn't a ton of people room or storage although the V210 is probably pretty comparable to the SAN210 or 205V in wake quality, interior room and storage. The V210 will have a better rough water ride then the 205v or SAN though. If you want a boat with the interior room of a tige 21v the SAnger V210 is not the boat then.

Look for used Moomba LSV or XLV. Simple and good bang for buck.

I agree that an Axis A22 is a great bang for the buck boat. I loved my 2011. I can't want to get my '12 at the end of this month.

Please demo whatever you deceide on before you buy it. Also, if quality of wake is extremely important, BRING SACS WITH YOU AND DEMO THE BOAT WITH ADDED WEIGHT. A lot of boats produce a nice clean factory wake, but not that many boats can produce a nice clean wake when weighted heavy. I'm not going to mention that brand or boat, but on the other wakeboarding forum, I gave the same advice. The prospective buyer did not demo the boat with added weight, and bought it based upon what he saw with factory ballast. One of his crew got on the forum and has voiced his disappointment with the fact that the boat will not produce a clean wake when loaded heavy at speeds he is comfortable with.

Honestly, the interior of an Axis is not going to be as plush as other, more expensive, boats on the market. However, the A22 produces one of the best wakes in the industry, handles very well, surfs good with the new platform that is offered in '12, and handles rough water just fine. There are a lot of good boats out there in the $45-$60k price range. Demo a bunch and buy what suits you best. There is no best boat out there.

Good luck!
