"I like to go w2w". Lyman is fast and an out into the flats board. Haven't rode the Watson but it's more w2w, straight up pop than the Lyman from what I've heard.

get the watson, its a great W2W board with killer pop, and the landings arnt bad at all, i havnt taken the watson into the flats, but W2W its a sick board, and the lyman 143 feels about a foot longer then the watson 142.

i keep reading good things about the lyman. maybe it is the 09 lyman that is rated so highly and the 08 is not rated highly. can anybody comment on the differences in the 08 and 09 lyman? thanks, as the lyman is a board i was considering trying out.

star star, the 08 and 09 lyman are the same board, and it will be the same in 2010 as well. most board companies keep the same shape of a board for several years before changing it. i love the lyman, its a great board, but i ride the 139. and ive ridden the 143, and it feels HUGE and ive ridden the 142 watson and it feels great. i just dont like 143 lyman, if you weigh 200 or below, i would recomend the 139. im about 190 lbs and the 139 is great, and so is the 142 watson, the watson doesnt even feel big to me, but the 143 lyman is rediculous

I had the 08 Lyman, my friend snapped it and now I have an 09 138 Watson ltd. Both are sick boards! The Lyman hauls ass but the pop felt a little inconsitent to me. The Watson is amazing! It feels great all around it's a little slower but it helps control your edging. And it pops straight up, complements the wake 2 wake rider. You'll love either one. Tell me what you get!

Yea I know what your saying David. It was just like sometimes I would pop well, sometimes it wasn't there as much. Compared to the Watson. Maybe it's just me

Ok fellas, i have a the Watson in mind, might even check out the witness. what are some bindings that would help with soft landings. I played college baseball as a Catcher and the old knees aren't so great.
