I am now getting ready to buy either a 2006 or 2007 Enzo to use exclusively for regular foot surfing.

Is there much (or any) difference in the regular foot wave between the Centurion SV216 vs the SV230? Not much help from the sales guys as they pretty much say whatever they have in stock is the best.

Am I wrong in assuming that the difference is the length which would be out of the water and not effect the wave?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the World Wakesurf Championship's boats SV216's?

Thanks

Go to inland surfer's website. There's a reason they have just 230s and 240s.

216 is a different hull than the 230/240

I would even say an Avalanche over a 216 IMO for surfing.

try centurioncrew.com...

We have an SV220(formerly known as 216) and it is indeed a different hull and different wake. that by no means implies it does not surf well with proper weight... in fact it's very good. I'm not sure I'd put it behind the Avy having surfed both- it's at least as good, maybe a bit better. There are other reasons to choose an SV220/216 - rampier wake board wake etc.

Having said that, for a surf specific Centurion I would strongly recommend you go with the 230.

We have used the 220 for surfing and it is really nice. More steep and tall than long like an Avy or 230. Check the profile pic, that is a 220 with some extra weight but only 2 people in boat.

Greers:
Our 220 pocket is longer than that, how much are you running up front and midship?

antifan,
It has the quad stock ballast and we only added to that, 300 in the rear locker,450 in the floor, and 300 in the bow. That picture was from early March and was the first time we played with that boat. We were also only going like 11.5 that day. With more people and 13 mph it gets a lot longer.
