easy selector, yes, board sideways/ perpendicular to the boat, knees to the chest, let the boat do the work, lean back a bit, not too much, stand up. back tall and chest up, head up. you look down you go down. once up, keep it slow ~15-18 mph for now. keep the handle to your HIP. that is huge.. once that handle leaves your hip, the board tends to open up, perpendicular to the boat again any you face plant. Keep the handle to your leading hip, close anyway.. Also figure out what foot you will put forward, what foot do you have forward on a skate board? do the same for wakeboarding. Before you try, have the driver go slow at first, just that first forward position or so. this will give you a chance to get a feel for it. while moving slow, board sideways to the boat, apply pressure on each foot, knees still to the chest. notice how this will steer you etc. its this control that will help you get up. Once you get the feel for it, in control, not spinning around etc, have the driver slowly accelerate. not a ski start, hammer it style, but slow and smooth. it doesn't take to much. the person learning is as much hindered by a poor driver as anything else. good luck.
