It Helps a ton and dont belive all the people who are going to tell you to make you're own the real one works. Its just gives you better balance for everything edgeing landings and you can use inside at night when you would not be rideing any way.

I agree it helps a ton but not agreeing with the make one bit. I had the resources to get the exact same materials of an indo board so I made it myself. And it works great. I saw a huge improvement in my balance this year compared to last from using it. I also now incorporate it into my weight workout. I do squats on it using a medicine ball or dumbbells along with some other CORE exercises on it. I would advise anyone to get one especially beginners like myself.

Agree with Eric. I bought the skate-styled one (with the kick tails), and have since made 2 others to add to my Indo quiver, (one is shaped like the original, the other is what I call a mini-Squirt). I love messing around on them, I've recently learned how to do crossovers without killing myself (or taking a chunk of drywall out of my wall).

As far as it improving your riding, it does help, a ton. You may not notice or realize it, but it does. I also like to do core exercises on them with weights, like Adam.

If you have the money, buy one. You will use it for years.

Note: the above is not the one I made. It's my friends Indoboard, who turned me on to them.

How much are they, where can you get them, and are you supposed to use them on carpet or solid floors??

The surface resistence will control how fast the board reacts. When you start, you'll want a slower surface and work up to a faster one. I use my Voodoo balance board on a thin carpet.

The Indo Board is so money on so many levels. Yes, it helps with balance and body control. Yes, it helps build stronger core muscle groups.

More importantly, however, is the consistent comic relief it provides. I'd say 2 out of every 3 people that get on mine for the first time end up face down on the carpet. It never gets old.

Peace be the journey!
