You should search for Elevator weights...but the challenge you are going to find is that the price of metal has gone up so much that it gets pricey. We'd looked into taking over leadheadz deal, but it simply was too expensive. A 80 lbs brick was going to be about $140 making about $20 a brick for just materials and a fraction of the labor. And that was some 7 year ago or so...so you can only imagine the cost now.

I have lead in Melbourne FL!!! Its been a while since I weighed it, but I think it was around 500lbs total. There stips about 4 inches wide by about 3 feet in length, each ranging in thickness and weight (between 10 lbs to 40 lbs each). I go to Orlando often and will actually be there this weekend if your interested. Make me an offer! Email me at jeff.grunow@bovislendlease.com if your interested.

I have used reclaimed lead shot purchased from a gun store in 50 lb bags. Each bag fits nicely into a one gallon poly gas can. They are easily moved around and nice and clean. I did this a couple years ago and it cost about 20 bucks for each 50lbs. I have 5 of them to supplement the water ballast and to balance out the wake.

Pigiron...... free at any ship yard. I had over 400 lbs of it wrapped in heavy plastic & duct tape on my 205. It probably rusted inside there but it never leaked.

Trey, if you paid $50 for free weights, you paid $50 too much!!

Seriously though... wouldn't free weights/barbells rust??

Wrap it with plastic & duct tape. Or paint it with Plastidip
