Like the pic Bruce.....nice set up! My friend runs a '99 SAN with factory rear ballast. I believe this was the first year for the Super Airs to come standard with rear ballast? I am pretty sure '97 was the first year for the Airs to have factory ballast incorporated. And if memory serves, I believe '02 was the first year for the optional front tank on the SAN? Importance of front tank varies by rider but I do not go one session without loading the front----plenty. It provides less "rampy" wakes and creates a nice firmness up the face(having more hull surface displaced)and provides better planing characteristics, weight distribution and ride--for both passengers and boarder. Of course, slowing or turning back into the wake to pick up a downed rider can create a lot of unexpected "tsunamis" over the bow! However, driving proficiency will always solve this subtle nuisance.
Hope this helps.......
