No problem, I wish everyone could experience this place. It truly is amazing even the pics can not describe it.

Duffy, I enjoyed your pics. Nice looking river. Rivers are the best for wakeboarding.

Man with all the crazy jet-skiers, sharks, and fisherman with shotguns, I'm surprised you went there. Wow...you are brave. That and the wind is killer there.

The great thing about the Astor area is that the combination of National Forest, State Forest, wetlands, and for the nervous a strong gator population, will always provide great riding. Also, its not a destination place for riding because there are so many other options in Central Florida.

great pics.... but then again ya'll suck. that is where I learned and grew up riding. There is nothing better than the warm, dark, glassy st. johns. I have not ridin there and like 4 years and after seeing thise pics it just makes me want to move back to the sunshine state....

See any Gators out there? I've heard rivers are really heavily populated. With all this Shark attack business lately...I think I'm going to stick to bodies of water where I'm at the top of the food chain!

Very nice pics. My favorites were 126-129. If that is your lady, you are one lucky guy.

Eric, I don't think he comes on here much if at all, but it's him.

Dan, Ironically enough in 2006 a girl was killed in Juniper Springs which is just South of the glen and just around the corner to the south of the Jungle Den a kid was grabbed by the leg and pulled into the water.

Not to worry though because gators don't like the sound of a running boat.

Whats up Mike - hows Rough River? I used to ride there all the time when I lived in Louisville. Rough and Taylorsville Lake - man those were good times.
Yep - have to agree 126-129 look great on my boat...

Sweet trip. Sorry I missed it.

July 4-6 we are looking into renting a houseboat and tow the wakeboats as well. Right now we got 6 people on the boat. Does anyone else want to go?

Both lakes are a little high right now. we have been out on rough about 5 times so far this year. You have a nice looking boat, but I doubt it has ever looked better!

Yah figures thinking about going out to Weir in the next couple weekends if I have off. You guy out there about every weekend?
Old     (duffy)      Join Date: Feb 2006       05-01-2008, 4:57 AM Reply
Matt. Why in the hell would you go to Weir when you have all that butter?
Old     (eric_ms)      Join Date: Apr 2007       05-01-2008, 6:44 AM Reply
hell I wish there were more gators so there would be less people riding. that said if the people knew how many gators are in the river and how big they are there would be glass all the time.....

Yeah we go every weekend - come on out, its a nice lake. Do you live at the St Johns? I would assume you are looking for a change by coming to Lake Weir because the St Johns was SWEET for riding.
Ill be in Houston the next two weekends (riding with some locals - comp Saturday) then Lake Weir the weekend of the 17th and then down in the Keys riding over Memorial Day. Come on out the 17th or drag that boat to Key Largo over Memorial Day!
