Guys, give me your opinion. I'm just trading up from an old DD '98 x-star to (probably) a super air. I do a lot of w'baording as well as skating. took a ride behind a friends SA the other day but it had full ballast and eight people in - huige wake, lots of speed to clean up wake = v. hard to skate. I want to know what they're like without all the weight etc. can you slow it down to a reasonable speed to skate on a clean wake?

I skate behind my friends Super Air at 20 mph and the wake is clean, hard and big. I get booted on w2w and have had some nasty crashes cause my wake is quite different. I am sure if I rode it all the time I would get used to it and enjoy it....as with most wakes you get comfortable with the one you ride most.

I only wish I could skate behind any correct craft

I have always been of the mind that you can skate behind anything. Nautique, Boston Whaler, Bayliner, Tige, SeaDoo, Honda, winch, etc.

Just turn the ballasts off. Thats what I do on my Pro Air and it makes the wake nice for skating.

i have a super air 210 and the wake is dope for skating..depending on how many people u have in the boat and and how big u want the wake u can adjust the ballast, but i love my 210 and all i do is skate, but i guess a lot of it is preference...but u can never go wrong with a natique!
