Let me begin with I'm not trying to start a war, but need good info. I'm looking at both of the above mentioned boats and would like to know how they stack up. Any info positive and negative would be appreciated. We're new to tow boats, but not to boating.

Thanks All!

They had the V237 at DRA this weekend and I thought it was a great looking boat. I had my doubts about how solid the tower would be but I got up there and pulled as hard as I could from side to side and it was solid.

I'm guessing it will take a lot of weight to get a big wake though.

We're looking at the 220. We would like to get a boat that will be good for Wakeboarding and surfing. We're not experts by any way of the imagination, but would like something that we can do alittle of everything. What would your choice of boats be??

I love my V215 for both surfing and wakeboarding but the 237 is a new boat so how well it will facilitate those sports remains to be seen. I do believe whole heatedly that it will be an awesome boat on both accounts as Sanger builds excellent boats that are highly regarded in the wake sports community. Obviously the Nauti is a great boat too and is certainly proven so I'd highly recommend driving both and if you still can, get a pull behind them. All that said my next boat will likely be a V237 based on my experience with Sanger and price point.

Why Head Hunter? I need more to make a decision on.

I have an '06 220 with 230 hours. Many people bash the 220 interior but I love it. The movable seat gives you three different options or even a fourth (remove it altogether). I did demo rides in MC, Tige and Malibu and in my opinion the CC was the smoothest and best handling. Being from Florida, I have never seen a Sanger. I will say that from what I have read here, everyone has positive things to say. Make sure and drive them both.

I wouldn't even begin to make a decision until i'd driven them both! I've been in the V237 and to me it's comfortable with a lot of room, but then everyone has their own opinion so check them both out.

The Sanger, just based on my experience with both boats. Sangers are built awesome, and have a great layout. No disrespect to anybody who likes their 220, but I have spent a weekend on the boat, and the interior is horrible imo. Way to cluttered, and makes no sense. FWIW

Sanger makes a great boat, but Nautiques are top of the line, dont get any better, I would go with the 220 for a couple reasons.
Build Quality
Resale
Wake
Warranty, Nautiques have the best warranty in the biz.
Now I have not been in the v237, but have been in quite a few other Sangers.

Dave,
go to planetnautique and check out a post from the handle tdcworm. He posted a great looking wakesurf wake, and there have been numerous posts on the 220 wake for boarding.

I was on a 220 today and thought the interior was great. It seems stupid to me to have giant couches stretching on all sides when you can have seat backs and a removable seat so that more people can watch, rather then having to strain their necks to see the rider. We didn't surf but the wake was amazing with just stock ballast. Almost no bow rise and the zero off speed regulator was incredible. I used to have my heart set on a 210 but it looks like a 220 is definitely in my future.

Ya I agree with you Josh.
The 220 is my pick for the best wakeboard boat on the market, I would choose the 220 over any other boat and I have been in them all.

If you are interested in nautiques and like the 220 consider the 230 or 236 I just bought an 07 236 and my friend has the 220. I personally like the interior better in the 236 that is why I didn't get the 220. the 236 and the 230 are exactly the same hull so don't let the numbers fool you. My buddies that ride the 220 are begging to ride with me and one is upgrading to the 230 for 08 because the wake is awesome. The 220 wake was the rave last year but as more people ride the 230 or 236 that will be it. The surf wake is awesome too with storage galore. I have heard good things about sanger too so study up and buy what you like and no matter what you choose have fun.

One more thing. My last boat was an 00 super air I bought in early 02. I cannot tell you enough how well it was built. We ran it every weekend for 5 years with 2000lbs of ballast and it never once left me hanging. It was not taken to the shop for any type of failure the entire time I owned it. I replaced one starter and solenoid and that was it. Reliability is why I bought another nautique. I never lost a weekend on the water b/c the boat was in the shop.
