Tips on whirlys?

Anyone have any tips on whirlybirds for me i have detention vol 1 and 2 which has helped a little bit

the one thing that helped me out was thinking about the 360 aspect of the trick without thinking about the tantrum. it was all mental for me. if you dont think about the tantrum, do it subconsciensly, and focus on not rotating too early you should be ok.

that probably doesnt make sense to you, but i tried.
BS 3s took me a while to nail consistantly. tantrums only a couple days. and never let you arms get all the way out.

i've often seen it mentioned that one should be able to do bs3 first. is that really necessary? although it's a bs spin, it doesn't seem there's much relationship between the two tricks - at least not any more so than say a tantrum to blind and a whirly, but i've never seen it said you should be able to do a t2b before doing a whirly.

in this months issue of WBM check out the trick progression to a whirly. It's crazy, it's like 10 tricks before the whirly, from a hs bs 180, to a switch scarecrow. Not saying that you can't do a whirly without the progressive steps.

damn, still waiting for my issue. seems i always get it weeks after everyone else. i'll check it out. kyle's section is my favorite part of that mag.
