LOL, I saw that on the nightly news the other day. Something in the neighborhood of 2000 workers that were building bridges and stuff were sent home mid project cause of this turd biscuit.

I am all for the "Let's Figure Out How To Pay for This ****" idea, HOWEVER, not in mid stride, 1 day before it would affect actual people.

exactly - I can appreciate the general idea, but this was the WRONG place and time to hold millions of americans hostage. I wonder if Bunning would object to a bill extending Senate health care benefits

It was a very funny video. But Bunning does have a point. Federal support of unemployment benefits cannot go on forever. It is the state's responsibility to pay out benefits from unemployment insurance premiums. Some people have been collecting for over two years. Somebody has to pay with either higher premiums or more taxation. At least someone has some fiscal responsibility.

Then he shouldn't have voted for the Bush tax cuts like he did, that were not offset by spending cuts, or the Iraq war which was unfunded. He's nothing but a typical hypocrite politician.

Actually tax cuts prove time and time again to increase revenue. You increase taxes to slow growth.
