I'm no longer a boat-whore!!!

My new toy!!
My new toy!!
My new toy!!
My new toy!!

As you can see...I got an awesome early birthday present. It's an '02 Sanger V-210, that fully loaded, including Perfect Pass, brand new tower speakers, two pair of board racks, and plenty of ballast material.

I think it's amazing to have such an awesome family. Everyone really pulled together to make this happen for us.

Thank you, and Love you lots:
Fred, Kathy and Blythe Escalera, George & Peggy Ewards, Julie & Skyler Van Note, Matt & Leslie Taylor, my Nana for letting me park it her driveway, and last but not least my lovely wife Lori.

Now that the mushey stuff is over....
anyone have any gas money?

Congrats, and wish many fun hours behind her. That boat is the most under rated boat out their. If I did it all over again it would be a hard choice. Between that and the boat I have now.

Congrats Shawn. Those boats produce awesome wakes. I had many great sets behind Evan's old Sanger.

Yeah Shawn, I knew you guys would make it happen!! Well you're just gonna have to swing by and pick me up on the way out!!! I'm telling you if you were at Oak Shores this weekend and didn't call me we are definately going to have words. I was there until this morning riding all kinds! So when is our first training set? You know (or will know) I'm good for the gas $.

Pat told me that Fred stopped by to check on his new VLX order, and that he signed over/delivered the Sanger last Friday!!!!

Big pat on the back to everyone!! You for having a such a great wife (We love ya, Lori!!) getting a sweet ride (you probably have as many hours in that boat as Freddy), and Fred & Family for the move to Naci, and having a new '06 VLX on the way!!!! Congrats, Shawn. Joe's absolutely right.

shawn... good to see you joining the ranks man.. theres no better feeling then getting home from a day at the lake, and not going inside to take a shower until every inch of the boat is clean. The pride that comes along with ownership is unimaginable...

With that said.. lets ride.. if anything else... well get together at the next tourney

Thanks for all the kind words guys!

We are pretty excited about the whole thing. The only thing I could complain about, is that I have to store it 4 hours away. Which when I think about it, isn't really that bad when its sitting a mile away from views like this:

I can't wait to get back up there and get some riding in. I'm not sure I can last another ten days, but I guess I'll have to.

One of the best things about be a boat owner is that know I can invite all friends (you know who you are) to ride behind MY boat. So if you guys are willing to make the drive you are welcome to ride with me anytime. Thanks again for all the support.

Oh yeah, Steve you can take your foot out of mouth, it is indeed Lori.

shawn, please don't take darren's advice. well, take it if you want a sick looking, big ass wake!
Old     (wakestar8878)      Join Date: Oct 2003       07-26-2005, 9:58 PM Reply
Sure, what do you run?

Currently I have two Phat Buddies one for each side of the motor, 16 Pop Product 40lb weight bags under the seats, and a couple water bed tubes for the ski locker.
Old     (ralph)      Join Date: Apr 2002       07-26-2005, 10:14 PM Reply
A custom 80"x28"x10" sac for the locker - holds around 650 pounds full.
550 pounds of lead under the bow seats and in the tip of the nose.
Twin 350 pound custom tanks in the rear which we normally run around 1/2 full.
Most often I ride with a crew of 6 or 7.
From our experience the V210 likes lots of weight forward otherwise the wake tends to get very steep and narly.
I have the Acme 525 prop which pulls like a mofo.

The boat sits kinda low when weighted up but stays dry without water over the front or back. Let me know if you want photo's of the tank or bag setup etc etc.

Shawn, I just got back on Sunday from 10 days at Oak Shores. I'm pretty sure I saw your Sanger out there, since I'm always looking for them. I have a V215 with a red tower (profile pic), you might have seen us.

Anyway, I'm guessing from your comments that you're storing it up there. Did you get inside storage? And how much $$ if you did?

Thanks, and oh ya - Nice Boat!

Chuck - Nice boat yourself (I love the color scheme). I seen you out there, next time we'll have to stop to say hi. I'm storing the boat at my Grandma's house (outside) during the warm months. When it starts getting cold I'll put it in my Mom's garage.

Stephan - Are you going to be able to make it August 5th - 7th?

Thane - Do you want to do a Nacie trip soon? Nice profile pic BTW. ;-)

Steve - You are welcome to hangout with us all weekend if you like. I won't be up until late Friday, but we are just going to be camping in Oak Shores, so bring your tent if you want. I'm sure we'll ride early morning Saturday and Sunday, probably take an evening set as well Saturday. The rest of the time we can cruise the narrows or just hangout and have a good ol' time. I'll be in touch, I can't wait!

Ed - NO KIDS!!!!! At least no time soon.

Regarding Thane's pic: I guess it's ok for a TS jump, but the photographer ROCKS (yours truly)!!!! J/K

Are you sure that's TS? Looks HS indy shifty to me!

I don't know......Thane?

looks like a hs indy shifty to me.
Old     (big_ed_x2)      Join Date: Jul 2004       07-27-2005, 8:53 PM Reply
how can you tell on the shifty?
Old     (dakid)      Join Date: Feb 2001       07-27-2005, 8:59 PM Reply
it really wasn't too hard, but my guess is because;

a. thane rides regular,
b. trail of water coming from the left,
c. if it wasn't a shifty, his chest would be facing the boat on a hs jump.

of course, i could be wrong.
Old     (socalwakepunk)      Join Date: Dec 2002       07-27-2005, 9:04 PM Reply
In the pic, the lift off spray is on the left side. Puts him in really strange position for TS, but pretty darn nice for the HS indy shifty. That and Thane is a regular (left foot forward) rider.

Could be a (funky) switch TS/FS indy 180...

him riding regular still supports the TS W2W but the spray.....it looks like it comes from the left of the pic,so I think you are right.

Never questioned that either of you were wrong,I'm just a novice when it comes to that sort of thing.

great pic nevertheless but I think I was more impressed thinking it's TS.

I guess I wasn't thinking when I posted. Not only is it a HS Indy Shifty, but I didn't even take the picture Lori did!

Here is the orginal shot, and a toeside indy just for sh{ts and giggles.
HS Indy Shifty
I shot this one

Look at that water in the first shot...Hard to believe that was Saturday of the 4th of July weekend.
