I have a 2001 Sanger DLX, and when I really sack out my boat I run a 500 lb sack in the bow, 300 lbs of lead on each side of the engine (600lbs total), a 500 lb sack behind the engine, a 200lb locker sack, and 320 lbs of internal ballast under the rear seat. All together around 2000-2100 lbs total plus a few people and gear. Sangers sit extremely low in the water so you have to be on top of your game when driving, but it throws a nice wake this way. I was having a hard time getting up on plane when I started running this much weight, but I changed to a prop with a greater holeshot, and everything is perfect now.
