I recently bought a 1997 Nautique Super Sport that came with a flight control tower but no cover. I want something that fits snug around the tower and is towable. I've looked around a bit but not quite sure what will fit with that tower. Skiboatcovers.com lists covers for '00 - '01 Super Airs for around $540. Will this cover fit? Here's a pic of the new project. Thanks guys

Yes a 00-01 San cover will work. I have a FCT on my 98 Super Sport and have a that model cover on mine. I got a westland brand cover made out of Sunbrella. It covers the platform too.

I have a 95 with a FCT. I got a Rankin through a group buy on Planetnautique earlier this summer. It is very high quality. I'm not sure about the one you listed, but I would highly recommend Rankin.

Nice boat.

I have always had my cover custom sewed buy a local mom and pop shop. I payed about 600 bucks for the custom fit on my 00 SAN. It was sunbrella and covered the platform too. He put the snaps drilled into the bottom of the rubrail so they were hidden. There were no holes drilled in the glass and it towed great. You may be able to have one made at a local shop that is much better quality than a mass produced cover

I like the westland because it has straps that go down to the trailer to snug it up and it also has a draw tie with a ratcheting pulley to keep it tight under the rub rail. I have had several other brands and this is the nicest cover I have ever had. It was expensive though. 800 bucks total but it was worth it.

I also have a 97 Supersport with an FCT. I purchased a 2001 SAN cover from someone and am using that. It fits ok and is good for keeping the rain out, etc., but there is no way I would tow with it. The fit isn't perfect and I would hate having it flopping around and scratching my gel coat. If I were you, I would get a rankin cover. I have heard these are the best you can get. They will send you a form to fill out giving them the dimensions of your boat and where the tower legs are located, etc. They fit super tight and are trailerable.

Check out www.planetnautique.com. Do a search on there as a lot of them have the rankin. They actually had a group buy on these covers at one time.
