Planet Audio Amps?

I have just finished making the rounds to a few local stereo shops, looking for a couple amps for my boat. It was very interesting getting pretty much a different opinion from everyone.

The shop I like the most recomends for me and my price range the PLANET AUDIO amps. Do any of you have any info or opinions about these amplifiers???

How do they rank compared with MTX or Kicker?? Any insights would be appreciated.

What amp do they say to go with? I just had one installed on my boat and been happy with it so far, along with the place that installed it.

I have a 400 watt planet audio amp in my truck. I have had it for 3 or 4 years now and have had no trouble at all.I would highly recommend buying one.

They recomend the Saturn series, P600.5 for the stock infinity speaks and a sub, and the P100.2 for the b530's on the tower.

Plan on putting them in the storage area on the passenger side, and the sub at the drivers feet.

Planet's are a very good amp for the money. You can get a great deal on them on ebay right now, which will be about 50% less than you can buy the amps for in a retail store.

Planet Audio amps aren't bad. They're fairly underrated with the power they put out and they sound decent. However, U.S. Acoustic amplifiers are in my opinion just as good or maybe even better than planet audio amps. U.S. Acoustics underrates their amps and the power specs they are rated at is 12.9volts. They put out very clean power and they are very reasonably priced. Plus, they are engineered in the USA and come with a 3 year warranty if purchased through an authorized dealer. I'd say U.S. Acoustics is as good as Mtx or Kicker w/o the high price. Check 'em out at

I just bought two 6304's and a 6500D. I have ridden in Sandy's boat, and these amps sound pretty amazing, especially for the price!

I have one in my truck, along with Planet Audio speakers, and no complaints. Don't know how it compares with MTX and Kicker, but I'm very happy with the power and sound.
