Anyone have good suggestions for 8" speaker cans in chrome or polished aluminum (preferrably chrome, to match the other 4 speakers...), and I'm not trying to break the bank...this stereo has already cost considerably more than I was planning (but worth every penny!).

Come on David, you know you will have to reach deep into your wallet to get what you are looking for...

But seriously, I rode in Duane's Air Warrior with his 10" NVS cans today. He also has 8s, they are goregouse, jewelry grade finish. His speakers are the real deal.

Oh I know they're not going to be cheap, but I don't need speakers in them (I want to do them myself) so they shouldn't be too expensive either. And I want seperate cans so I can put one on either corner of the tower (so NVS1's wont' work). To give you a little price comparison I spent $170 a pair (off auction from Ebay seller) for 2 pair of new chrome 6.5" cans. Now I know that's a pretty good deal but we're only talking 1.5" bigger than what I already got for $170 a pair. In all honesty, price isn't my main concern right now, it's finding what I'm looking for: One pair of empty, seperate, 8" speaker cans in chrome or polished aluminum. Anyone?

8" is going to be a problem. I don't know of anyone making them that size except for Skylon and NVS. Just in case you aren't aware of it, Raul sells some cans that are made for 6.5" speakers, but they measure 7.75" Diameter so that might work for you. If you are interested in those, let me know and I will tell you how to contact him. Your best bet would probably be to contact Duane as mentioned above. Maybe he has some empty cans he will sell you. Or buy them loaded, I hear they rock pretty good.

Clint, those look great and that's an incredible price. Those are 8"? It looks like you have to buy the mounts seperate, it looks like there are just holes where the wire terminals should be, and although it says cans (plural) there's only one can pictured and with a price like that I'm guessing it's just one?

Actually, guess I can just ask Raul all these questions through Ebay, but does anyone (Mike or Paul) have contact info for Duane?
