Took RJ out to Practice today. I got a new camera this week. Its a Sony HDR-SR12. It films in great quality 1080 HD, and also takes good 10mp stills. You can even take 7.6mp stills, as you tape video. The only thing is that you have to wait 10 secs between pics while video taping. I had the SR1 before, I really like this SR12, and has 120gb HD.

Anyway, RJ is really starting to progress on the wombat, I can't wait until he gets his new custom one, with quad 4wfs fins. These pics are NOT stills. These are actually FRAME grabs from the 1080 video, and then scaled down for WW.

This one is a bit out of frame

These are taken from black butte lake, since lake oroville is too hard to launch on.

Glad you like it. I hate humidity. Saturday temps were in 80s, water was 73 in the AM, 76 later here in Northern California. NO humidity. I am sure you can stay out of a wetsuit longer, but its just not for me.

How do you deal with all the various critters in the water also?

Critters what critters, Ohh you mean Alligators and water mochasins. Well you just don't worry about them. You don't obviously go ride where you know there are abunch but other than that whatever. And the fact that I have lived in florida my whole life in lakes, the gulf and on ranches and have been around it all my life so no big deal. It just keeps the out of towners out of the lake because they are scared of them So it works out perfect. HAHA

Understand, I have grown up all my life in california. I think I will stick to my mostly critter free lakes. Worst I have seen is Catfish coming to the surface to feed on occasion. And once had a school of perch take nibbles all over my back at lake mead. Scared the crap out of me until I got in and saw how tiny they were.

@Greg, no they are from Black Butte lake. Oroville is much worse. You can only launch from the mud at bidwell marina. Oroville is about 300 ft low now.
