http://www.arnoldline.com/ .....I am just taking a poll on the thrill level of riding behind this 400 plus passenger vessel...@ 22mph...it is a nice rampy 4 footer at the least. Tie off on a swivel attached to the flagpole....and wahla....please flood this post...I want honest opinions. Plus notice it is a Cat...so not two wakes...but four to play on.
loren...this will be in august....water will be high 70,s or low 80's.....rides will be in the AM...glass...and we have the US coastguard for a chase boat. This is quite planned out. I am just being a little reserved about too many details just yet, two years ago a ski team from a University did ride behind these boats...but no boarders yet. So this kind of event has been done behind these boats before.
Daniel Watkins and Josh Saunders rode behind a similar boat then Fuel TV was filming Daniel's First Hand. Wakeworld did an article on it as well. Here is the link: http://www.wakeworld.com/getarticle.asp?articleid=730
josh...getting up to speed is definitely not a problem.......the horsepower is over 2400...plus they have pulled waterskiers before...smaller surface...need more speed to plane out...so definitely not an issue. Morning and late evening hours on the straits can be glassy...we'll check into it. But THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN...so stay tuned! It is all part of a fund raising campaign for the waugachaunce (spell)lighthouse preservation. So it is a cool effort to take part in. We do have the green light from the US Coast Guard and the Arnold Transit Authority.
But like its been said before, middle of the day is far too windy and choppy. Gonna have to get this in pretty early. I dont remember the wake, but I always got to mackinac w/ sheplers
lachie...i can tell you for sure...this is not a flat wake....it is a nice rampy wake. Should be fun. more details to come. You can personally email me for any questions you might have.
