If you could move to any lake in the United States, which lake would you live on?

(unless you already live or wakeboard on the favorite lake)

The private lake that Craig Butinsky lives on in Palm Bay Florida.

Soon they'll have a SANTE on the dock and this will be their backyard.

Does Keehi Marina in Hawaii count as a lake?

Shasta, as far up the Pitt as possible. Or on the delta. Bullards Bar is an awesome place, too.

How about one that doesn't freeze, and almost always has flat water?

If I had unlimited funds, Id build my own lake.

There was a Firsthand on fuel a while back with Mikesiac (sp?). He went to a private lake in Reno I think that some pal lived on. That lake would do nicely

I live on an 150 acre private ski lake that has about 20 boats on it, 4 of them being wakeboard boats. Typically it's glass and there's not usually anyone out during week nights, and it's wide open before 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. I can ride 10 months of the year with no wetsuit. It's got islands in the middle of it to separate the wake if more than 1 boat's on the same side and there's a north/south and east/west run that you can take when the wind's blowing a particular direction. I only wish I had a better lot on the lake as I live on a canal.

Scott - that Centurion throws a pretty massive wake. Nice Pics of your lake.

ha! I wish my Centurion threw that wake. That's a Super Sport. I do like the shape of mine, though, I'll have to get a pic of it.

Tulloch, not cuz of the glass, though if you know where to go you can almost always get it, but because of the atmosphere. It's a very fun place and a lot of cool people live there/have a cabin there

There is a house on Dale Hollow past Star Point Marina that is right on the water. I don't know if it has a dock though as the Core of Engineers doesn't generally allow private docks. That would be heaven on earth, except the riding season isn't as long as further south.

I have to agree with those that would pick a river over a lake. Rivers are inherently more protected from wind and rollers. Something like the canal in Memphis, TN would be awesome.

The Delta, 1100 miles of waterway, open 24/7, you can always find flat water, riding is rarely if ever affected by other boats, and plenty of watering holes for refreshments along the way!
And they named a wakeboard after it.

Those are all some amazing pics. Damn I sure do love the water. Anyways, trying to buy a house right now in boulder city, Nevada. You can see the butter from the master balcony and I would say its approximately 2-3 miles from my favorite launch site. (Hemmingway Harbor, Lake Mead). Thats about as close as i can get. Hopefully there's no bumps in the road or the water.
