Please explain!
Chippewa as far as I know is a private lake and if one had property one was good to go on the lake however one chose.
We are always looking for crew so if you want to get a pull we will do our best for eveyone to get a good pull!

scott-the chippewa lake has always been owned by cbe.a private real estate mogul co......they put the lake up for sale about 6-8 months ago...well here in medina county, we have a parks and rec. board....they decided they wanted to purchase it so a long story short they got a 600,000 clean ohio grant and about the same in private donations...well the asking price for the lake was around 2.5 mill..so they were still short on funds and went and somehow with asking the taxpayers got a 1.something million dollar loan from firstmerit bank!...........how its gonna be repaid, lake rights, patrol, horsepower limit, etc is still unknown to us who live here!......its deeper than that but thats an overview!.......

I working on an April 20-22 Ice Breaker get together on Lake Norris. The get together will feature wakesurfing, but there's no reason why we wouldn't get in some wakeboarding too. Toward the end of the season I'm also planning another get together at Lake Norris on October 5-7.

I'm also in discussion with the crew that is putting together the E-Town Throwdown (Elizabeth Town, KY) and the "Old Hickory Stick Fight" in Old Hickory, TN. If all goes as planned we'll add a wakesurf clinic to the E-Town event and a wakesurf competition to Old Hickory.

The Hydro Bowl is OK, near to town, has alternate power and sail days. The Hydro B owl isn't that scenic but it's OK. The Miami River by Hamilton is OK. Caesar’s Creek is OK on a week day and incredibly busy on the weekends.

Dan, where do you ride now?

Danrocks4 - I was the president of the president of the UD waterski team 3 years ago. I graduated in 2004. It was the best experience of my college career being on that team.

The team has a membership to a private lake 10 mins. from campus. Most of the team will be waterskiers (as I am), but you will be able to wakeboard. If you wakeboard, they will want you working on tricks to use in a 3 event competition. They are using another alumni for pulls.

PM me if you have more questions. The Midwest water ski tournaments are awesome! Serious, serious partying.
