Elsinorians at their best. Ramp is infamous for that stuff and the City ramp is a real hoot on weekend summer days. Bring a cooler at sit down and watch the show,

Yeah, I don't know what's worse the stupid guy driving the truck or the fact that everyone was watching and nobody helped.

Nobody helping is what blew me away! Is that what the people are like there at Elsinore? Two guys could have assisted in pushing that truck and jet ski up that ramp. And what's more funny is that there were two very capable guys right behind the truck!!! It's hilarious to watch people like this at public ramps!

If he'd had a thirty year old Subaru running on three cylinders he could have pulled it out no problem. The rust holes would have helped drain the ballast filling the trunk and back seat.

I wouldn't go near that guy, when he is behind the wheel. He does not know how to do anything gently. Someone going over to help would have put themselves in harms way. Stand back and watch the show! Then if he gives up, offer some advice and help.

I thought Else was adding aerators

The aerators are out in the big portion of the lake, not in the marina. Anyone who would have tried to help this guy might have gotten hurt. That ramp is pretty slippery even to stand on with the algea that grows on the concrete. Also, there is not much slope to the ramp, so you have to back your truck in pretty far. Some people have gone as far as carrying sand in their truck and putting it in their tire paths for traction. 4 wheel drive works great but not everyone has it here in S. Cal. - land of the high priced gas.

Why isn't the pavement serated ie (groved)?

That would allow the tires to grab even with all the algie

Lack of thought when ramp was designed...the new ramp owned by the City is serated but still has it's own set of issues. The City staff powerwashes the algea off that ramp during the summer months.

I gess the use of this portable type of aerator needs trained operators.

If you use the Lake Elsi's ramp off of Riverside Dr., the far west portion of the ramp is the best because of the dirt for traction.

that was good! the guy sitting on the trailer was the best part! he had know clue what kinda danger he would have been in if that seadoo fired over that tool box!

It also pays to ask the attendant on duty, which ramps are good and which are traps. It has nothing to do with the locals either. We help fools with toys all day long. Sometimes, you have to let the morons fix their own piles. We watch/laugh/help/cry all day long at the ramps.

What gets me is that no one thought of sitting in the back of the truck for weight. His buddies just stand there looking at him.

I almost cried when they took out the bleachers at Orwood...I watch as someone tried to drive the boat onto the dock one day!!!!
That slippery ass algae ramp must be a riot to watch and a good place to avoid.
