Hey i guys i would really like to tintin my X-30's windows but I have a couple of questions, first will the tint crack with it being exposed so much to the sun? Second, is it hard to see out of at night, and am i going to have to do this myself or do you think a auto tint shop would do it? I appreciate all the feedback!

Jared, I just recently had my 02XStar's windows tinted and have not had any problems yet (but I've only had it for 2 weeks now). I'm not sure about doing it yourself but I had it done for a pretty reasonable price. As far as looking through it at night it is VERY hard to see through but I've got a bolster on my seat and generally look over the windshield any way.

Grant - that's exactly what I'm taking about. I think it looks sweet but it serves NO purpose other than that. Dees - the SAN looks tight.

I saw a x-star, x-2, x-series, oh whatever they are going to call it with tinted windows and 20's. I will have to say that it was the worst looking thing I have ever put my eyes on. Tinted windows on a boat?? What are you trying to do, keep the sun out! Maybe you should screen in the tower so you don't have any bugs.

Bill, Maybe I don't want the dash to fade on my boat. And the boat you saw, just to educate you, was probably the black X2 that Texas Mastercraft had on display at the Dallas boat show. The trailer did have 20's and the windows were grey. So what if you don't like it? I know you're entitled to your opinion but do you have to bash it so badly? I've had it for 2 weeks now and almost EVERY person I've seen has commented on it.

I'm sure they have and I was just commenting on it also. So, that's yours in the photo above or you've had tint for two weeks now? Hey I didn't even mention how bad that single axel MC trailer looks!

Zack, the boat looks piiiiiimp. Don't worry about Bill. I think the work 'ski' in his username nulifies any sort of opinion he's intitled to on what is cool. He's lucky I don't start voicing my opinion on that fat little dog in his profile...

Frank, I'm not sure about the % but it was described to me as "limo" tint - I asked them to make the tint as dark as they could to match my hull.

I think the limo tint is 35%. Did you get the titanium film? The other stuff turns purple after a few years.

Zack, I missed the Dallas boat show, but I heard about your boat from the boys down at Texas Mastercraft. Do you have a profile picture of the decal?

Clint - what decal are you speaking of? Swass - yes I got the titanium film tint so that it wouldn't turn rosy shades of purple.

Thanks Zach. Limo used to be 3% here in Cal. Now it is 5%. Swass-FYI-The % is what percent of light is allowed through. 35% is not even close to limo. I will most likely go with 5%. Limo. Zach-You need to change your profile pic to show that Sick Tint!!!

The big one on the side, it's not the stock decal is is? It looks like it has flames coming off it.

Clint, I don't think the black X-2 is Zach's boat, I think it is one from Texas MC. Here is the side pic of the graphic on an X-9.

Clint - Nick is right - my boat is the 50/50 b&w boat at the top of the post. The boat you're talking about was Texas MC's show X2 this year. No it's not the stock decal, they've actually got 7 or 8 now you can choose from.

The tint looks great but I would be concerned about visibility. Also, do water spots on the dark surface become a problem?
