Looks like a simple downfire sealed box. Looks liek it's been line-x'ed as well.

is the sub inside a seperate box from the line x box?

no, the outside walls of the sub box appear to be sprayed with a line-x type material. All that is , is 4 square boards (sides) two square boards (top/bottom). The bottom board is moutned a few inches up to allwo for sub travel and air movement. Looks liek a jigsaw was used to cut the bottom of two fo the side boards. Someone could build this exact box for you for less than $100.

looks liek it screws in thru the bottom, but I woudl use wood screws in from the sides and cover with wood filler or bondo type material for a smooth finish
