I'm very excited as I've been nominated for Athlete of the Year by one of the local newspapers here in Ecuador. It'd be great if Wakeboarding won (usually someone from track, soccer or weights wins)

And the sky thing is a typo!!! it should be esquí nautico, but here sometimes people try to americanize everything even if they dont know how to do it correctly!! So now its SKY... lol

Marvin, I´m not sure. My mom says she heard on TV the other day that repeat votes don´t count, but at the beginning of last week there was a way of seeing the votes, and clearly people were voting more than once. So unless they filter IPs afterwards, you can vote more than once.

So Im back from the award ceremony and... I didn't win.
But Im not sad... the woman that won was a weight lifter that has brought many medals to our country. And the important thing is that wakeboarding was there! Gave some TV interviews, so hopefully people get to know the sport and practice it.
