Wakesurf board for a big boys - Length vs Width?

Need a little advise. I'm looking for a board that'll work best for big guys. I'm 6'2" - 260lbs.s - I own a '09 Hyperlite board - 5"6" . The board works great for everyone under 200 lbs. I'm just too much of a load for it. My boat is Yamaha 212x with the ballast tanks. Boat throws a great wake.
I was comparing the Hyperlite Landlock ( 5'11") to the Grindwater Mauka ( 5'6"). The Hyperlite is longer but the Mauka is wider. Which is more critical for heavy loads - Length or width?

I am about your same size Max. My first board was a Hyperlite Landlock 5'11". It was a great board to learn on and is as stable as a battleship. But once you can freeride on it... it gets rather boring. Its too big and stable to do much. Your skills will quickly outgrow this board.

The Grindwater boards are good boards but I have never ridden the Mauka. The Ginzu is a super fun board that will handle to about 250 or 260 lbs if your wave is big. But the Grindwater boards are FRAGILE!

You may want to consider looking at the Inland Surfer Red Woody. It is a very durable board that is MUCH faster and more agile than a Landlock. This is what I am currently riding at 285#. If I could get down to around 250 again I would be looking for something in the 5' to 5'2" range and more aggressive to ride like the TWP Bazooka.

@bigcapt If you would have made it out to the Polar Bear Event last year you would have seen that the Bazooka 5'3" would work well for you. Frank rides one and he started at 340 and is now down to just over 300.

I know! I could have rode a lot of boards and had a great time! It was just not in the cards for me last year. Sometimes you have to choose between a wife and surfing..... sometimes your wife makes that decision for you... LOL

I have never seen one break. But the Ginsu we have and take VERY good care of, has plenty of cracks in it. None that effect the boards performance or integrity of the board. Just cosmetics. Super fun board though!
