Hi guys this may sound kinda dumb but I just bought an 01 mastercraft x star and love it!...but I see there is round chrome circles with a hole through the center of it along each side of the boat in 2 places...I was wondering what they are for.. are they for bumper placement or something??? thanks

Can't say for sure without pictures but I think you are describing the ballast overflow and bilge pump drains.

They can also be use to shoot water in the face of your rider during pick-up if your timing is good with the switch. :-)

mikey, I think we are all confused on what exactly you are describing. We all assumed you we speaker of the drains and overflows that are below the rub rail. Is there anyway you could post a pic of what you are talking about. My family has owned 4 MC's over the years, and I have never seen a mechanism to hold boat bumpers on any of them.

Pretty sure I've seen what he's talking about. Does it have a u-shaped cutout? Definitely a aftermarket add on. Nice for boats that didn't have cleats.

here is the best picture I have at the momment as the boat is in storage. As you see the dounut shaped chrome hole right underneith the window above the rub rail.

Definitely not related to the bilge or ballast then. Nice looking boat!

Its a fuel over flow. If you over fill the boat gas will come pouring out of there.

I think they are Perko Fender Locks. Is this them?

Edit: Bizz, that boat doesn't have a fuel overflow. When filling you get a face full of gas unless you are on your game.

Well what the mastercraft guy told me is there is a T handle mechinism that is spring loaded that when you put load on the spring the T part shrinks in and then you insert it and release the spring and the T part expands and holds in the bumpers
