Hey guys

I found this while doing some research on a couple boats i was considering purchasing and was looking for some opinions. Im considering a 2000 Ski Centurion Eclipse and a 1997 Moomba Outback. The boats will mainly be used for wakeboarding and we are at a beginner level. The eclipse is $25k CAD and the moomba is $22k CAD. I'm considering these boats as they are in my price range and will upgrade in a year or 2. Any opinions or suggestions?

Are these both v-drives? The Moomba Outback v-drive shared the same hull as the Mobious for several years but do not think they even had the Mobious in 1997. The Outback v and Mobious LSV throw a very respectable wake. The Outback d-drive does not come close though and I found the wake to be among the smallest inboards I have ever ridden behind. There are limits with how much weight you can add in that hull due to size and freeboard.

I had an '00 Eclipse v-drive and loved it. I had vinyl issues and some small mechanical stuff, but nothing major. I put about 1500-1800lbs in it and you had a respectable Nauti-style wake and one of the best surf waves out there.

I am not sure what the CAD exchange rate is, but both of those prices sound high, especially for this time of year. I sold my Eclipse at the beginning of this year with PP, tower, EFI for less than $20K USD.

Both boats are direct drive (engine in the middle). Both boats have about 170 hours, and their interiors seem mint, and open bow
