Hey guys, I used to live in Des Moines when I was just getting into wakeboarding about 5 years ago. There are a lot of good riders on Lake Panerama west of DM in Panora. It's a great long, skinny lake that is calm when it's not too busy. There are quite a few X boats now since there's an MC dealer on the lake. I learned the sport from the lake legend Nate Bartels who was flipping before most people had heard of wakeboarding. Check out that lake, or let me know if you're around Mankato, MN and want a pull.

The lake is good now that I got a boat this year. The guy we used to go with moved to Des Moines so we lost our ride. We try to get down there during the summer when were not busy, I hated going to saylorville. The guy we go with is building a house on a private lake near Des moines.

HAHA I grew up in Clear lake and its beautiful but was getting so crowded back in the late 90's when we left......still quite a few pictures hanging on my wall of the sunset on the island.

Go Surf Ballroom, my family still goes back for some event there once a year!
