How the he!! do you get the canister off that contains the fuel filter. I spent a lot of energy trying with two people(three hands) and it would not budge. So I went out and bought a oil filter wrench, and we sheared the pins right off the new tool(broke it). I would love to hear suggestions for how to get this thing off.
Thanks.Darin

Yes, thanks. I did second guess the way we were turning, but it was cc. Maybe I need a higher quality oil filter wrench.

Take it off and put it in a vice, use a strap wrench. The Nautique FCC's are known to be nasty tight. Search on planetnautique, lots of info on how others managed to remove it.

take a screwdriver and give it a big slap on the head. now you have a big hole in your fuel filter :P

my mb has the same set up. you have to get a good wrench, or if its realy tight remove it like someone else said. than take a chain wrench, available at any hardware store. make sure you oil the o-ring really well. thats why its stuck in the first place.
