I got a new camera..Canon Rebel XT with the 75-300 lense (canon also).

What are the best modes to shoot picks in that are clean looking and not blurred, I prefer the focus and hold the trigger method right now as I need to get my timing down for the great wakeboarding pics!!

Thanx

TV or manual are the best to shoot wakeboarding.
Set your shutter speed @ 1000 or higher in TV (shutter priority) and your ISO @ 100 for a bright day and go higher for less light.

IMO there is no reason to pre focus with the XT unless your lens is really slow.

Set your camera up so it only uses the center focus point too.
