right boat for wakeboarding???

I bought a new boat this past spring a Caravelle 176BR I/O 135HP. Friend of mine got me into wakeboarding this summer and I got hooked. The problem is my boat dosent throw much of a wake, any suggestions. Thanks

Weight in the back, mess with the trim, try diff. line lengths? Ive always worked with direct drives and v drives so im not sure. But try thoes things.

change your prop, probally a 4 blade 16 pitch. and add some weight

Honestly, if you are that hooked, trade it in and get a used ski boat with a tower, or if you can afford it get a wakeboat.

Would I need more front weight than rear and if I change props from 3 blade 19 to a 4 blade 16, will that lessen my rpm's Thanks for the ideas

It will actually go the other way. Going to a lower pitched prop will give you a better holeshot, but reduce your top end speed. It'll still get you to 22-24mph, which is all you need anyway. A lower pitched prop will hold speed better at wakeboarding speeds.

With I/O's, you need to put more weight in the front to combat porpoising (bow bouncing).

Buy a mastercraft x2. You can put as much weight in youre boat as you want and its still not going to throw a wake you will be happy with, thats really not a wakeboard boat, even if they told you it was when you purchased it.
