Stainless Cup holders with integrated LED's - any good?

I am wanting to upgrade the plastic cup holders in my 01 Malibu Sunsetter VLX with stainless steel units (one is missing, and I think the stainless units look better).

I've seen a couple with the built-in LED's. I've been wanting to convert my interior lighting to red LED's anyway, and this seems like it would be an easy thing to tie in with that. But are they any good?

With 9 cup holders total, I can upgrade it all for under $180 (those links aren't the best prices for those items). Are these LED cup holders decent, or just gimicky crap?

Maybe I don't see mentioned anywhere because I am viewing from a phone, but I didn't see the mention of waterproof anywhere on there.

I believe I read on other places selling them that they are waterproof.

Or just make them yourself... that's what I did. Just glued one LED (they are bright, more then enough to light up the drink bright) in the middle drain hole. Only 2 of my cupholders are exposed and its stored inside so I wasn't worried about the drain. Or it would be simple to drill another hole in the corner to act as a drain if necessary.

Not a huge cost savings but if you are already ordering LEDs for the rest of your interior, easy to do all at once.
